January 2020
2004 was a good year...
We’ve celebrated 15 years in business this year, which seems to have flown by. From a laptop in Debs’ spare room, we’ve grown into our own offices and have a great team working for a range of exciting clients in varied sectors. We have some great projects on the go as we head into 2020, so keep an eye on our LinkedIn feeds for more updates, ideas and tools as we share them.
Hard on the heels of the 2018 Eagle Radio Inspiration in Business Award, we were delighted to be shortlisted for the 2019 Surrey & Hampshire business awards in the Customer Focus category – a really great spotlight on our business and the way we look after our clients. While we didn’t win on this occasion, we had a great night and were really pleased to be in the top three.
The cherry on our cake this year was winning a PRCA award for our internal communication work with Furlong Flooring. The PRCA is one of the PR industry’s trade associations, and to have won recognition from our industry peers, for work we’re really passionate about, and up against some of the biggest names in the industry, was a real coup.
Anyone who has worked with us – and for us – knows the value we put on curiosity and constant learning. In order to give our clients the best and most results-driven advice, we have to be abreast of and ahead of ever-changing marketing, communications and digital trends. This year, we have taken part in targeted training on content marketing, internal communications, digital technology and analytics, while also attending conferences, debates, and working alongside a top 10 London business PR agency to develop extra depths of knowledge and insight. All this value is shared with our clients– and fits perfectly with our vision of delivering knowledgeable, perceptive and commercial advice and action that makes a measurable difference to the organisations we work with.
Winning new business is always exciting but one particular win stands out for us this year because it’s something very different for KPC. Farnham Residents is a local political party that won landslide victories in local and borough elections earlier this year. They pitched for a local agency to help them develop their supporter base and raise awareness so that they can become an established force in the area – no mean feat when up against the resources of the main political parties. To have won the pitch is incredible; the scope of the work is huge and exciting and while it tests our communication roots, it also stretches our creative and tactical muscles, which is something we all love.
