Farnham consultancy KPC Creative Communication saw off some tough competition this month to win a prestigious PRCA award at the Emirates Stadium.
The firm, which is based in central Farnham, is celebrating 15 years in business this year and has recently expanded its team with the arrival of Becky Ray. The business also has access to a range of local skills that it calls on for client projects.
"We’ve been in Farnham since day one," says MD and founder, Deborah Kingsley. "It’s a fantastic local business community to be part of, and the support we’ve had from clients here and across Surrey and Hampshire – as well as from further afield – has been instrumental in our success, despite growing through some of the toughest economic conditions. So it’s really wonderful to see the hard work of our teams recognised by this award."
The award, for Internal Communications Campaign of the Year, was given for the company’s outstanding work with carpet supplier Furlong Flooring, which came to KPC for help with uniting its teams, improving customer service and creating a consistent approach to sales and marketing. Up against household names including Facebook, First Choice Holidays, HSBC and Waitrose, the award win is a real coup for the local agency.
"This project was ideal for us," adds Kingsley. "With a new, energetic MD who is prepared to invest in improving the working environment for his staff, we’ve been able to introduce new ways of working, uniting the whole team in the company’s vision. Initiatives like a dedicated reward and recognition scheme, a regular ‘family meeting’ and other ways of communication across the company have helped our client to retain staff, improve productivity and build on their reputation so that they can become the go-to business in their market."
