KPC Join international charity organisation Soroptimists.
I joined the Soroptimists, an international charity organisation standing up for the rights of women and girls during lockdown. This charity, largely unsung, does some great work around the world to advocate and raise awareness of the challenges and inequalities women still face. My own Surrey Hills club is putting an important conference together, to bring influencers and decision-makers together to discuss how far Surrey is safe to live and work in. It’s great to be part of the organising team, not least because I get to meet some fantastic organisations and people who are passionate about shining a light on VAWG (violence against women and girls). Although we live in what is perceived to be an affluent county, violence, domestic abuse and bullying still goes on.
