We’ve been working with civil and environmental engineering firm Land & Water to build a brand new website that reflects the wide range of projects the company can undertake.
The group site is the second we have launched for Land & Water; earlier in the year we created a site specifically for the company’s plant hire business, and so we knew we had a successful template to work with – one that Land & Water liked and wanted to use for the main website. The plant site had ranked first for its key search term in Google within just two months, and organic traffic to the site rose by 22%.
The new site, which uses Land & Water’s corporate colours to help visitors navigate through the site, showcases the things that characterise who Land & Water are – the dedication of the people, the commitment to doing this well and the protection of the environment. The final navigation was agreed with the company after we applied our experience with usability to the user journey a Land & Water customer tends to take.
Land & Water has the capability to work on lots of different projects, so one of the challenges with this website was to work out a clear and intuitive navigation that lets prospective customers find exactly what they are looking for, no matter how complex.
Simple language, easy-to-read fonts, lots of images that show Land & Water in action, giving a real flavour of the way the company works and the sort of approach they take on every project.
"KPC make a good idea great. They are able to turn a germ of an idea into an impactful piece of communication that resonates with our target audience."
Nicole Pickford, Land & Water.
